In this fourth annual Alexis Brooke memorial lecture, the speakers will present their work supporting a young adult and his parents through treatment for a rare cancer.
Smiles and Kisses: Repairing mother-infant breaches and risks for serious child abuse and neglect (CPD109)
This is the first of a series of evening seminars on child maltreatment issues, being delivered by Patricia Crittenden, at the Tavistock Clinic.
Meaning and Mindedness: Encounters Between Philosophy and Psychoanalysis (CPD15)
This series will provide an opportunity to explore the common ground between psychoanalysis and philosophy. This month's Seminar will be: Altruism.

Relating to Self-harm and Suicide in Adolescents and Young Adults (CPD29)
This ten-week course will focus on how to understand self-harm and suicidal behaviour in adolescence and early adulthood.

This multi-disciplinary event explores the meaning, communicative function and impact of self-harm in young people.

A Stranger in My Own Body: A conference on gender dysphoria in children (Conference)
The event is in honour of Dr Domenico Di Ceglie who established the UK’s only service for children and adolescents with gender dysphoria ‐ the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS).

This is a 5 day workshop for qualified counselling and clinical psychologists and for counselling and clinical psychologists in their final year of training.

This conference explores the longstanding gap between good intention and reality for care leavers, not only in policy, but also at the level of service delivery and of practice between workers and care leavers.

The Use of the Storytelling Projective Techniques in Child and Adolescent Psychological Assessment (CPD88)

This course is designed to provide a theoretical understanding of the psychological challenges facing care leavers as well as an opportunity to reflect on and develop professional practice with this group of young people.

Working with Families with Physical Illness (CPD57)
This course aims to enable professionals to reflect on the psychosocial aspects of their work with illness and disability using a systemic framework, thinking about families as a resource and a context for change.
Developing a Diverse Child and Adolescent Workforce: An Introductory Course (CPD64)
NHS London is offering free places on a 10 week training course for unqualified support staff working with children, young people and their families.
